Business leaders call for electoral reform
On 16 January, a group of leading business people wrote an open letter to the Financial Times, calling for Britain to move to a fair, proportional voting system. The business leaders argued that First Past the Post is a force for instability in our politics and economy, and that “an electoral system that truly represents the electorate will be good for business, good for politics, and good for the British people”.
